"Unlocking Clarity and Growth: The Transformative Power of a Year of Celibacy"

"Unlocking Clarity and Growth: The Transformative Power of a Year of Celibacy"

Practicing celibacy for a year can be a transformative experience, offering insights and benefits across several areas of life. Here’s what it might reveal or help with:

1. Clarity of Mind Focus on Priorities:
Without the distractions or emotional complexities of sexual relationships, you may find it easier to focus on personal, professional, or spiritual goals. Self-Reflection: It allows time for introspection, helping you understand your deeper desires, boundaries, and relationship patterns.

2. Emotional Growth Self-Worth:
Celibacy can highlight whether you've been seeking validation or emotional fulfillment through sex or relationships. Healing and Recovery: It creates space to process past emotional wounds, leading to greater resilience and self-awareness.

3. Improved Relationships Strengthened Non-Sexual Connections: By removing sex from the equation, you might deepen platonic friendships and familial bonds. Understanding Relationship Patterns: A break from physical intimacy can help identify unhealthy relationship habits or dependencies.

4. Physical and Mental Discipline Control Over Impulses:
Choosing celibacy builds willpower and self-control, which can extend to other areas of life like diet, exercise, or managing stress. Heightened Awareness: Without the influence of sexual dynamics, you might gain a clearer understanding of your needs and the motivations of others.

5. Spiritual Growth Deepened Spiritual Practices:
Many people report enhanced meditation, prayer, or mindfulness practices during periods of celibacy. Connection to Higher Purpose: It can help align your actions with your values or spiritual beliefs.

6. Reevaluation of Sexuality Intentionality:
It allows you to reconsider what sex means to you and how you want it to function in your life and relationships. Reconnecting with Desire: After a period of abstinence, some people report a healthier and more intentional approach to sexual expression.

7. Health Benefits Reduced Stress:
Some find that avoiding the complexities of sexual relationships can lower anxiety or stress levels. Energy Reallocation: Celibacy can help redirect energy into hobbies, fitness, or personal development.

Overall, a year of celibacy can serve as a reset, offering clarity, growth, and an opportunity to better understand yourself and your relationship with others.

COVID VACCINES: THE AFTERMATH

COVID VACCINES: THE AFTERMATH

COVID-19 vaccines, like any other vaccine, can have side effects. While significant side effects are claimed to be uncommon, many patients have reported new symptoms after receiving COVID-19 vaccines.
Thousands, if not millions, of fatalities are thought to be associated with vaccination adverse effects and long-term COVID-19 symptoms.

The most common side effects reported are mild and temporary, including:

Local reactions:
   - Pain at the injection site
   - Swelling
   - Redness

Systemic reactions:
   - Fever
   - Fatigue
   - Headache
   - Muscle pain
   - Chills
   - Joint pain

More serious but less common side effects include:
Allergic reactions:
   - Anaphylaxis (a severe allergic reaction) is rare but can occur, typically within minutes to hours after vaccination.

Myocarditis and Pericarditis:
   - Inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis) or the lining around the heart (pericarditis) has been observed, primarily in younger males after the mRNA vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna).

Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS):
   - This rare but serious condition involving blood clots with low platelets has been associated with the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) and AstraZeneca vaccines.

Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS):
   - A rare neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves, observed with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Treatment for these side effects varies depending on the severity:
Mild side effects:
   - Typically managed with over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen, rest, and hydration.

Severe allergic reactions:
   - Immediate medical attention with the administration of epinephrine and monitoring in a medical setting.

Myocarditis/Pericarditis:
   - Often treated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and rest, with more severe cases requiring hospitalization.

TTS and GBS:
   - These conditions require specialized medical treatment, which may include blood thinners for TTS and immunoglobulin therapy for GBS.

What to do:
Many patients feel alone during their healthcare experience, which, as we all know, may be costly. It appears that despite warnings from people, including some healthcare professionals, regarding a rise in odd malignancies and heart problems, they are not being taken seriously. Nor is assistance being provided to people who are unable to afford the costs connected with these pervasive health conditions.
Knowledge is power, therefore conduct your research. Document your health journey and keep note of what works and what doesn't. There are also outstanding doctors and support groups, which others may choose to join.
Consider natural medicine and therapeutic exercises that can help with the emotional aspect of it all.

Monitoring and reporting of vaccine side effects are crucial for ongoing safety assessments. Health authorities like the CDC and WHO continue to evaluate data to ensure the benefits of COVID-19 vaccines outweigh the risks.

🍫😋 Mary Jane Edibles (Weed Brownies)

"Space Cakes"
(Weed Edibles)

Servings: 10 slices

NOTE: 3 STEPS... Everything here made from scratch! If you chose to use the box brownies, then ensure you pay attention to ingredients (If  for example your recipe calls for a 1/2 cup of butter, use 1/4 cup of your pot butter and 1/4 cup of standard butter.)

Dosage is very important, unlike smoking, eating brownies take a long time to reach the bloodstream so you will not feel an instant high. This does not mean you eat more! Gauge your consumption, especially if you're trying this for the 1st time. Good luck!

This website does not sell Cannabis or “weed” Edibles or any Cannabis-containing substances. City Chic Island Kick does not condone the consumption of Cannabis, Cannabis concentrates, Cannabis Edibles or any other Cannabis or Hemp product(s).
This website provides information, and much of the information and recipes contained within these websites comes from outside contributors, independent contractors, freelancers, and others.

STEP 1:

Baking Tools:
1- Oven
2- large pots
1- 13"x 9" Baking pan
1-2 Aluminum foil or        parchment paper sheets
1-Weed grinder
1-Whisk
1-Wooden spoon

All Ingredients:
15 grams of Legal Cannabis or Marijuana 'Weed' (Chose a desired strain, based on social setting - Indica or Sativa)

Method 1: 1 Decarboxylation
Preheat oven to 240ºF. It would be a plus to have a thermometer. This will gauge and create a more accurate temperature to avoid burning or under cooking etc.
With clean fingers, break leaves into separate smaller pieces, then place on the baking sheet pan.
Place sheet in the oven for 30-40 min. based on the strength of the marijuana. (I advise you not to take your eyes off of it for long, check every 15 mins.) Do not open over, look from glass or crack open just enough to peep inside.
When golden brown, move marijuana from oven and let cool. Once cooled, put toasted weed in a food processor using the pulse setting or a grinder can be used to ground the weed.

MAKING of "CANNABUTTER"
(Cannabis-infused butter)

STEP 2:

Ingredients:
10 grams of Cannabis (Decarboxylated)
1 butter
1 cheesecloth or substitute with coffee filters, or fine wire sieve,

Method: 2
Melt the butter. Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of butter into a pot. Simmer on low and let the butter melt. Adding water helps to regulate the temperature and prevents the butter from scorching. Add the cannabis. As the butter begins to melt, add in your coarsely ground cannabis product.
Simmer. Maintain low heat (ideally above 160ºF but never exceeding 200ºF) and let the mixture simmer for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally. The mixture should never come to a full boil.

Strain the cannabutter by setting a funnel on top of a jar and line it with the cheesecloth. Once the butter has cooled off, pour it over the cheesecloth funnel and allow it to strain freely. (Note: Squeezing the cheesecloth may push more unwanted plant material through, so patiently allow it to strain itself).
Refrigerate the jar of butter. If excess water forms at the bottom of the jar, you can remove the solid butter with a knife and drain the water out. (The butter will need to refrigerate for about 2 hours before removing the water.)

STEP 3:

Ingredients:
Cannabutter (From step 2)
1/3 cup - cocoa powder
2 sticks of butter (unsalted)
6 - large eggs
1 cup - white sugar
2 tbsp. Water
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4- kosher salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 baking powder

Method: 3
Preheat you oven to 325°F (162°C).
Grease your brownie pan with regular butter. We suggest you use a stainless steel pan since they will prevent your brownies from sticking.
Add sugar, cocoa, vanilla, salt, water and cannabutter to the mixing bowl. Whisk to blend all the ingredients together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating them as hard as you can with a whisk until the mixture is glossy. Add flour to the bowl and whisk the entire mixture for about 3 minutes.
Bake the mix for about 20-30 minutes. Just like with any other brownies, you can find out whether they are done by poking them with a toothpick inserted until it comes out clean.
Place on metal wire rack to cool. Cut into bite size pieces.

Dosage is very important, unlike smoking, eating brownies take a long time to reach the bloodstream so you will not feel an instant high. This does not mean you eat more! Gauge your consumption, especially if you're trying this for the 1st time. Good luck!

Bon appetit!👌

FUN FACT:
There’s a reason why marijuana is most commonly smoked rather than eaten. Without heating it up or burning it, raw weed is actually non-psychoactive, chock full of THCA, and actually considered a “superfood” by some, who note 400 different chemical compounds inside the plant, including vitamins, essential oils, and acids.

WHAT ARE THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF MARIJUANA EDIBLES?

  • Psychotic episodes
  • Hallucinations
  • Paranoia
  • Panic attacks
  • Impaired motor ability

Essential Oils for Beginners: Flavors and Uses

What are essential oils?
Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that retain the natural smell and flavor, or "essence," of their source.
Essential oils used in aromatherapy trigger responses in the brain that send healing to the body. These oils can balance out hormone levels, heal digestive disorders, and dramatically reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Essential oils are obtained through distillation (via steam and/or water) or mechanical methods, such as cold pressing.
Once the aromatic chemicals have been extracted, they are combined with a carrier oil to create a product that's ready for use.

The way the oils are made is important, as essential oils obtained through chemical processes are not considered true essential oils.

Most Popular Essential Oils:
Lavender Essential Oil.
Peppermint Essential Oil.
Lemon Essential Oil.
Eucalyptus Essential Oil.
Frankincense Essential Oil.
Tea Tree Essential Oil.
Chamomile Essential Oil.
Rosemary Essential Oil.

WHAT IS AROMATHERAPY?
Aromatherapy has been in existence for 6000 decades or more it is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being.
It's also called essential oil therapy. Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit. It enhances both physical and emotional health.

Aromatherapy doesn’t have to be high-priced, and it has many benefits. It has become fundamental for alternative and holistic medicine. Establishing aromatherapy as a habit in your ordinary life will help you take some time for yourself.

If you don’t know how to use essential oils, don’t feel overwhelmed or intimidated by how to get started. It’s really easy and a lot of fun! You’ll be surprised in how many areas of your life you are able to use your oils:

Essential oil diffuser
People everywhere are now using essential oil diffusers in their homes to reap the benefits of the scents of natural essential oils.
Primarily, diffusers are used to relieve stress, promote relaxation and freshen the air naturally. If you're looking to add one to your home, you have a wide range of options to choose from.

Use in a bath
Adding essential oils to your bath is an amazing way to take a relaxing time-out during your busy day. Buy a box of simple Epsom salts as the base for your essential oils. If you just drop the oils into the water, they will not dissolve as nicely as they do when first mixed into the salts, who then dissolve beautifully. Please don’t combine any other chemically produced soaps or products into this mix in an effort to fully enjoy all the benefits of the essential oil and Epsom salts alone.

Oils Skin Application

Coconut Oil
Used in many natural face products and for good reason: it's naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and moisturizing. Coconut oil is composed primarily of nourishing fatty acids and is especially high in lauric acid. It also contains vitamin E and healthy fats, which help to make skin smooth.

Olive Oil
Most commonly used in cooking, olive oil can also be used for cosmetics as carrier oil. Olive oil is packed with benefits including aiding occasional ear discomfort, joint pain, support of rheumatic conditions, or hair care applications.

Sunflower Seed Oil

Sunflower seed oil is a great source of vitamin E, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, and is effective for combatting skincare issues like acne, inflammation, general redness and irritation of the skin. In addition to vitamin E, sunflower oil is also rich in vitamins A, C, and D, making it effective in the treatment of acne. Sunflower seed oil contains vitamins and fatty acids that act as antioxidants to regenerate new skin cells and help your skin rid itself of acne-causing bacteria.

Shea Butter
Shea butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production.

Reduces Inflammation: A 2010 study found that due to its cinnamic acid and other natural properties, shea butter was anti-inflammatory. One compound in particular, lupeol cinnamate, was found to reduce skin inflammation and even potentially help avoid skin mutations. This also makes it beneficial for some people with acne.
Moisturizing: The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skin’s natural oils.
Skin Smoothing: Shea butter aids in the skin’s natural collagen production and contains oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids that protect and nourish the skin to prevent drying. With long-term use, many people report skin softening and strengthening as well as wrinkle reduction.

Jojoba Oil
Extracted from the jojoba beans, jojoba oil can be stored for a longer period of time compared to other carrier oils. It possesses an almost indefinite shelf life. It is easily absorbed by the skin as jojoba oil mimics collagen, making it relaxing to the skin, especially for those who have hypersensitivity, eczema, psoriasis, acne or blackheads.

Almond Oil
Sweet Almond carrier oil is an excellent emollient which softens and reconditions the skin. It penetrates easily and can soothe dry, irritated areas. Excellent for all skin types.
Well suited as a carrier oil for aromatherapy blends. Also useful as a bath or massage oil; excellent addition to lotion bars, sugar or salt scrubs and balms.

Simply inhale

Steam inhalation
Also called steam therapy, it involves the inhalation of water vapor. The warm, moist air is thought to work by loosening the mucus in the nasal passages, throat, and lungs. This may relieve symptoms of inflamed, swollen blood vessels in your nasal passages.

Aromatherapy Massage
Related imageAromatherapy massage is used for a variety of different reasons, including relaxation, pain management, and improved mood. These are also some of the basic benefits of massage therapy. Adding essential oils is thought to enhance such benefits.

HORSE CARRYING 'WEST NILE VIRUS'

West Nile Virus' 1st case found in a horse!

Crook County has detected it's first case of West Nile Virus, found in a horse after 15 years of testing. According to Oregon Public Health officials and the Crook County Health Department. A horse became ill in September, it was the first to test positive for the disease since 2004 when testing began. According to officials, the horse had spent time in both the Prineville and the Post/Paulina areas, and had not traveled outside of the county during its exposure period.

The diagram shows how West Nile virus is transmitted from mosquitoes feeding on infected birds; which are considered hosts. The infected mosquitoes then bite and transfer the virus to both humans and horses.

Though this is not the season for the virus, folks in the area should take this matter seriously, exercise precautions and avoid the risks of contracting the virus.

According to News Channel 21 report:

Karen Yeargain, LPN, communicable disease coordinator at the Crook County Health Department stated:

"There's no way to distinguish whether you just got bit by a mosquito that’s carrying West Nile versus one that’s not," says Karen Yeargain, LPN, communicable disease coordinator at the Crook County Health Department. "You won’t know."

Cliff Kizer, manager of Crook County Vector Control:
"It is unlikely that other livestock, like cattle, could catch the virus. He said mosquito bites act like "vaccination," and when the cattle get bitten, they develop immunity to the disease.
“The general population of warm-blooded animals will develop resistance, and people and horses will also, but we don’t want to take the chance of losing even one person to it," Kizer said.

Luckily, there have been no residents of Crook County diagnosed with West Nile illness.

If you feel you have been exposed to the virus here is some information that may help.

Symptoms, Diagnosis, & Treatment

Symptoms:
No symptoms in most people. Most people (8 out of 10) infected with West Nile virus do not develop any symptoms.

Febrile illness (fever) in some people. About 1 in 5 people who are infected develop a fever with other symptoms such as headache, body aches, joint pains, vomiting, diarrhea, or rash. Most people with this type of West Nile virus disease recover completely, but fatigue and weakness can last for weeks or months.

  • Serious symptoms in a few people. About 1 in 150 people who are infected develop a severe illness affecting the central nervous system such as encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) or meningitis (inflammation of the membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord).
  • Symptoms of severe illness include high fever, headache, neck stiffness, stupor, disorientation, coma, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, vision loss, numbness and paralysis.
  • Severe illness can occur in people of any age; however, people over 60 years of age are at greater risk. People with certain medical conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, and people who have received organ transplants, are also at greater risk.
  • Recovery from severe illness might take several weeks or months. Some effects to the central nervous system might be permanent.
  • About 1 out of 10 people who develop severe illness affecting the central nervous system die.

Diagnosis:

See your healthcare provider if you develop the symptoms described above.
Your healthcare provider can order tests to look for West Nile virus infection.

Treatment:

No vaccine or specific antiviral treatments for West Nile virus infection are available.
Over-the-counter pain relievers can be used to reduce fever and relieve some symptoms
In severe cases, patients often need to be hospitalized to receive supportive treatment, such as intravenous fluids, pain medication, and nursing care.
If you think you or a family member might have West Nile virus disease, talk with your healthcare provider.

RID UNWANTED HAIR

Women just like men have hair growth in the face, though the hair is not as coarse.
Unwanted excess hair can be a bit unappealing when it grows in between the eyebrows, in the eyebrows, chin, upper lip, and sideburns.

Doctors say the #1 cause of facial hair growth in women is due to hormonal imbalance and is very common in women who are overweight. Other reasons are due to a person's physical characteristics, ancestry and genetics which also plays a role.

The good news is, there are several methods for facial hair removal for women.
For a temporary technique, many opt for waxing or tweezing, while for something more permanent, laser hair removal is the option.

Waxing

This is a quick and effective – yet painful – way to get a smooth-looking face. But again, some women react to this technique better than others, so be sure to try a test spot before waxing the facial area. You can find a few skin care products that are meant to soothe skin post-waxing.

Tweezing

Some women choose to tweeze unwanted hairs, but this isn't an ideal solution because repeated plucking can cause irritation of the hair follicle and, on darker-skinned women, may result in scarring. Also, hair will grow back thicker and stiffer once it's plucked. Unless you have just a few stray hairs that occasionally pop up, avoid tweezing unwanted hair.

Laser hair removal

This is a popular hair removal procedure. The ideal candidate for laser work has fair skin and dark hair, but darker-skinned women can have good results with an experienced laser practitioner. Overall, laser hair removal is not very effective on light blonde or white hair.
Before you begin laser treatment, you should consult a dermatologist to determine if you are a good candidate.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis has the best overall results, versus any other method, in ridding hair for long periods of time- or even permanently. Many different hair and skin types can benefit from it; because it doesn't target hair pigment (color) like laser, but attacks the follicle itself.
People that aren't good candidates for laser can still get electrolysis.

Like everything else is has it's cons like previous waxing or tweezing can make hair follicles bent or misshapen, and getting the needle to the root more difficult to destroy the follicle. Sometimes multiple treatments are necessary, which can be time consuming. Electrolysis can also cause skin discoloration if not done properly.

🖊
It is important to examine all methods and see which works best for you.
