We all have seen/heard more negative reports concerning KODAK BLACK. His outspoken nature has created "beef" between he and fellow rappers such as; Young MA, Lil Wayne, his daughter), and 808 Mafia to name a few.
In 2017 he made controversial comments regarding actress Keke Palmer, he stated in an interview that actress Keke Palmer was "straight", but that he "don't really like Black girls like that". Some Twitter users responded negatively, provoking Kodak Black to delete both his Instagram and Twitter accounts. Kodak Black also stated that light-skinned women are easier to break down, black women are "too gutter", and that he does not like his own skin complexion.
Only 22 years old, unlike many rappers Kodak has lived much of what he raps about; growing up in the projects and raised by a single mother can all be attributed to why Kodak is who he is. Despite all the negative if you really met Kodak and listen to his
His need to respond to every situation and accusation will require more growth and maturity on his behalf.
This may be a blessing in disguise... Kodak was clearly on a path to destruction, and as we know it only leads one or two places.
He is certainly not new to the law; from 2016 he was battling charges and violations. He stated on the Breakfast Club in 2018, that he was paying $4,200 a month in child support, for his son.
2019 has not been a good year for Kodak; he seemed to be battling many demons. Apart from legal problems creating legal fees; which i'm sure affected his income. As of 2019 according to "Celebrity Net Worth Reporter" his net worth stands at $750,000.
As if it couldn't get any worse; in May, Kodak was labeled the most unfavorable (hated) rapper after he was caught on his Instagram live, making what many called disrespectful and insensitive comments about the late rapper Nipsey Hustle's Girlfriend Lauren London.
Since then he was blackballed by fellow rappers and fans; some fans and associated of Nipsey even called for his death. Kodak not giving a 💩💩 what others think, responded thru diss track Expeditiously against rapper T.I and The Game who scrutinized him for his comments.
It seems the world was on his shoulders and against him. It makes me wonder why someone so successful would risk it all... making the decisions as if he was a regular guy on the street.
Today Rapper Bill K. Kapri, better known by his stage name Kodak Black was sentenced in a Miami courtroom, to more than 3 years (46 months) in prison after pleading guilty to weapons charges.
The 22-year-old Florida rapper admitted in August this year, that he falsified information on federal forms to buy four (4) firearms from a Miami-area gun shop. He was able to obtain three of the weapons: a 9mm handgun, .380-caliber handgun and a semi-automatic Mini Draco weapon.
U.S. District Judge Federico Moreno could have sentenced Black to the maximum of 10 years, and prosecutors wanted 8 years in part because Kodak allegedly was involved in a jail fight that injured a Corrections Officer.
“I think it’s time for us to give some tough love in this case,” said Assistant U.S. Attorney Bruce Brown. “I just don’t see how and when he’s taken these things seriously.”

Kodak also faces drug, weapons and sexual assault charges in other states that remain pending. He has had several previous arrests. Kodak faces up to 30 years if found guilty on these other charges.
