James Holmes First Court Appearance

Joker... James Holmes Makes First Court Appearance

Well, James Holmes is facing the death penalty. I, like many are wondering is that even enough? 

This morning [July 23] in a Colorado courtroom prosecutors accused Holmes, 24 of killing 12 people and injuring 58, on Friday July 20th; after he went on a shooting rampage, during the premiere of the latest Batman film, “The Dark Knight Rises". In Aurora Colorado.

It is said, Holmes sat quietly and appeared sleepy or sedated during the very brief hearing, with red colored hair, maintaining his "Joker" persona, from the Batman series. Batman-related items, including a mask and a poster was found in his apartment. Authorities say, when detained on Friday, Holmes told the police that he was the Joker.

The court concluded Holmes will be formally charged one week later on July 30. He is expected to remain locked up at the Arapahoe Detention Center until his next court date. 

It is also said that Holmes has yet to show any remorse and still "thinks he's acting in a movie."

A fellow inmate who had just been released added "He was spitting at the door and spitting at the guards, he’s spitting at everything. Dude was acting crazy." 

Many feel that Holmes' attorneys may use an insanity plea in order to spare their client from a capital punishment sentence if convicted. He is not expected to be targeted with domestic terrorism charges. The DA also added that prosecutors are seeking input from victims of the Aurora shooting to make a decision on whether or not they should request the death penalty for Mr. Holmes. 

Holmes would face mandatory life in prison if the district attorney decides not to seek the death penalty.

Seriously, can this case be fast-tracked? It is sad that it only took minutes for him to change people's lives forever; but, he is given months if not years to be punished for his act. 
Insanity should not be a question, the guy is clearly insane, and should be punished to the full extent.

A NO-SHOW AT EVENT!
Last night, BET’s 106 & Park host, and star of the popular movie "Think Like A Man" Terrence J was set to host a party in the Bahamas at the Luna Nightclub.
Eager fans left disappointed after they waited hours for the appearance of TJ, but he never showed up.

According to a few reports, Terrence J was unhappy with certain conditions pertaining to the club/event when he got there, and decided to leave.

It is rumored that he and his girlfriend Selita Banks were seen partying at the upscale Club Aura, in the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, during the time of the event. 

Wow! this is not a good look for Him or the Club/Event Promoters! :S I'll keep you updated!

The Dark Knight Rises: Premieres Canceled In Japan And Mexico

After the horrible tragedy at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Risesin Colorado, Warner Brothers decided to call off its Paris premiere the following evening, and now, out of respect for the families of those killed and injured, they've done the same for both the screenings scheduled to take place tomorrow in Japan and Mexico.


The White House also announced today that the President would be making his way up to Aurora, Colorado this afternoon to visit with the families of those who were injured and killed in the massacre, as well as local officials.

I think we all would agree that this is a good move by WB, as we continue to pray for the families of those affected.

"I AM JUST READY TO GET MY SENTENCE STARTED" RAPPER B.G. ON 14 YEAR PRISON SENTENCE 

BG released a statement through his rep Tracey Smith, saying: 

"I am relieved I found out what my fate was yesterday because I was facing 30 years and my case kept getting pushed back." The 31-year-old adds, "I am just ready to get my sentence started because it's not RIP BG it's FREE BG ... I feel happy and blessed that I will still be a young man and still be able to see daylight because I am someone, a dad, a brother and a son." 

B.G. says he expects his career to continue to thrive while he's locked up, noting: 

"will have upcoming music that will be released while I am away."

The New Orleans rapper pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm and conspiring to obstruct justice has been sentenced to 14 years in prison. Christopher Dorsey, known as "BG," also was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Helen Berrigan to three years of supervised release following his prison term. The 28-year-old pleaded guilty in December to being a felon in possession of a firearm in 2009. Prosecutors say Dorsey had three felony drug convictions between 1998 and 2003.

“I try to tell all the youngsters out there man, if you want to be gangster and go out there and thug-out and go out there and do certain things, just know there’s consequences,” Juvenile 

I'm sure you all remember B.G. (Baby Gangsta or B. Gizzle) former Cash Money Records artist, who blazed the hip-hop industry in the early 90's with Lil Wayne as half of the duo The B.G.'z. Okay so it's pouring rain outside, you have 3 hours til dinner time!  Why not try this simple and healthy recipe?

Asian Lettuce Wraps - Serves 6
Serves 6
Ingredients:
1 cup Mahatma® White Rice  
1 3/4 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup water
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup Teriyaki sauce
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced 1 x 1/4 inch
1 can (8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts, drained
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 rice noodles
4 carrots, shredded
2 iceberg lettuce leaves

Directions:

Prepare rice according to package directions, using chicken broth as cooking liquid.
Meanwhile, whisk together the water and cornstarch in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in Teriyaki sauce. Add the chicken and water chestnuts and stir to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Stir-fry small batches of the chicken in hot oil in a large skillet until it is no longer pink.
Arrange the rice, rice noodles, carrots, chicken and lettuce leaves on a serving platter.

To prepare the lettuce wraps, a lettuce leaf is layered with rice, rice noodles, carrots and chicken and then rolled. A dipping sauce may be served.

Police Disarm Explosive Device in James Holmes Apt.

Cops released a statement about the explosive, saying, "The Device was designed to kill a person if they entered. This could have been meant for law enforcement or emergency personnel." 
Police in Aurora, also disarmed the trip wire and first explosive device at the apartment of James Holmes, the suspect in Colorado shooting massacre.

Police say, although not certain, "We are hopeful we have eliminated the remaining major threats." Holmes told police his apartment was booby-trapped at the time of his arrest. Since then, however, police say he has been uncooperative.

It is believed that he may have been trying to recreate a scene from the 2008 movie, "The Dark Knight" ... which features a scene where The Joker, played by Heath Ledger, wears a red wig while destroying a hospital.

James Holmes appeared on the website adultfriendfinder.com just days before the "Dark Knight Rises" massacre. The profile had a message at the top which read, "Will you visit me in prison?" ...Wow! what a creep!

In the profile, Holmes described himself as a "light/social drinker" and his penis as "short/average," in the section where he's asked if he smokes or does drugs, he answered, "I'd prefer not to say." According to sources, the profile, of what appeared to be that of Colorado shooting suspect James Holmes is real, and was in fact created by Holmes. The IP address was tracked back to Aurora, Colorado; the profile was created on July 5th and was last logged in just days before the shooting.

James Holes is at the Arapahoe County Detention Facility being held in solitary confinement not because of any specific threat but what is usually protocol in high-profile cases, according to police.
